Our story and inspiration

Annita Pompom Dolls was born from a lifelong love of creativity, storytelling, and working with children. Before moving to the United States in 2019, I spent more than twenty years as a teacher. Later, while working as a nanny, I discovered how much joy a simple handmade companion could bring to a child.

The name Annita Pompom is especially close to my heart. It was inspired by my daughter, Anna, whose name became part of the brand. Every time I hear the name Annita Pompom, it reminds me of family, love, and the special connections that shape our lives.

Each doll is handmade in my Colorado studio and inspired by two very special little girls: Piper, the first child I cared for when I moved to the United States, and my granddaughter Pia, who lives in Paraguay. While the dolls follow my signature designs, I lovingly create and customize their outfits, making each one feel unique and special.

My greatest hope is that each Annita Pompom Doll brings comfort, joy, and a sense of companionship to the child who receives it. I hope these dolls become trusted friends during quiet moments, imaginative adventures, bedtime stories, and everyday childhood memories. In a world that often moves very quickly, I want my dolls to encourage simple, meaningful play and the kind of childhood moments that are remembered for years.

For families, I hope each doll becomes more than just a toy. I hope it becomes part of their story—a cherished keepsake that holds memories of a special season of life, a beloved child, or a meaningful gift given with love.

When I create a doll, I imagine it being hugged, carried on adventures, tucked into bed, and loved for many years. Knowing that something made with my hands becomes part of a family’s memories is the most rewarding part of what I do.
